catching up.
easter.
easter was bittersweet. mom and dad came to visit and help us pack up the old house and do some work on the new house, madeline participated in her very first easter egg hunt (omg ADORABLE), my in-laws had the whole family over for a delicious easter brunch… but it was also the last few days in our house on lincoln street, the house that madeline was born in.
truth be told, i despised that house. we both did. now that we’re not living there anymore, we’ve realized just how much it was sucking the life out of us. i wasn’t able to talk about it at the time, but we were in the process of taking our landlord to court over some serious structural damage that resulted in the roof caving in in several rooms in the house, including madeline’s nursery. regardless, the sentimental woman in me was still sad about closing another chapter in our lives, so i made sure we took a few photographs in front of our first little rowhome in delaware.

easter sunday, heading over to andy’s parents house for brunch

these pictures made me realize that our little baby isn’t such a baby anymore! she keeps getting cuter by the day, though… i could seriously eat her up, she’s that sweet and absolutely delicious.

participating in the neighborhood easter egg hunt. she knew exactly what to do with the eggs she found hidden in the grass. our smart girl <3

i’m posting these next two pictures because a) i think it’s hilarious that i have my hands full of food during an easter egg hunt… i was 3.5ish months pregnant and eating all.the.time and b) see the arrow pointing to my boots? do you recognize them? they’re the WINDING BUCKLE BOOTS from anthropologie that i said were no longer for purchase and that i would give my right arm to own!!!! turns out, my husband/in-laws are extremely resourceful and managed to purchase the last available pair for me for christmas. granted, they’re a 1/2 size too big, but i didn’t have to give away any extremities and i absolutely adore them. hands down my favorite item in my closet.

quality time with grams & grandpa (and grover!) @ the park near our old house
