random wednesday post

these past 2 days have been so busy that i couldn’t find time to post about last weekend. mom texted me last night though, asking for her DDOM (daily dose of madeline) after bean was already asleep, so i promised her i’d post a few pictures this morning. these are for you, mom!

before we gets to the madeline cuteness, i wanted to share with you some really awesome products i came across recently.

last friday night, andy, madeline, and i walked to the delaware center for horticulture for the trolley square bazaar. we checked out local artwork, listened to live music, munched on apps, and perused the crafts booths.

one vendor i feel in love with was carol. she created carol’s scents and soaps and in the last 6 days, i have become wildly obsessed with her skin care line. i approached her booth and instantly noticed how mild-smelling the products were… not too harsh, not too dull. i couldn’t stop picking up and smelling every single product she made, and each time i would say, “oh, no, wait, THIS is my favorite”! it was obvious from the start that i wasn’t leaving her booth without a nice little care package for myself.

what i purchased:

lavender linen spray- use for bedsheets & my clothes if they need a midday freshen-up. i’ve been using linen spray on myself for years, ever since high school when i stopped using those body sprays for B&BW. ((my all time favorite is: stress relief eucalyptus spearment pillow spray- top 3 fave scents ever.))

lavender shower sensations- i haven’t tried this yet. i’m waiting for my chance to use it while taking a bath, and all i have time for these days are showers.

lavender lotion bar- the packaging itself is uber cool- it’s a deodorant stick that has lotion in it! it’s small shape is perfect for my purse (i don’t have to worry about the bottle opening and getting lotion everywhere) and the smell isn’t overwhelming. i’ve been applying a few times a day to my arms and legs when i feel dry.

almonderry, oatmeal, milk, and honey, and lavender soap- my favorite product from carol’s line. the only one i’ve used so far is the oatmeal, milk, and honey. she told me that this particular one is good for sensitive skin- as a healthcare professional, i wash my hands all.day.long and you can only imagine what that does to my skin. you guys. you guys. this is the best soap i have ever used. i use it for my face and hands and i have never had my skin feel the way it does now. aside from the fact that it is ABSOLUTELY delicious, it makes my skin feel like i have a layer of milk lotion on it- my face is the softest it’s ever been. and the scent lingers, so half an hour after i’ve used it, my face and hands still smell/feel fresh. this soap is amazing, y’all. seriously, get you some… NOW.

hand knitted wash cloth- either carol or her mom (who helps with the packaging, so cute!) knitted these so i had to buy one. the total for everything you see above was $37.50 and worth every penny. i posted a link to her website above, or you can like her facebook page

and now for some bean!!!! last saturday, we went to our cousin jack’s t-ball game. it was the only time that weekend that i took a break from the action to snap a few pictures.

clap for jack!

taking it all in.

jack got a hit! go, jack, GO!

this is madeline’s “YES!” face that andy taught her. she clenches her teeth and pounds her fists in the air. it’s adorable.

a very intense inning.

i hope you are having a fantastic week <3 i have the day off, so jessica and i are taking the girls to an enchanted forest this afternoon. tomorrow is the greek festival, friday night is FIREWORKS AT HAGLEY!, and saturday we head to the beach with some dear friends for the remainder of the weekend. i’m really looking forward to these next few days and eventually sharing our fun little adventures with you. happy wednesday, tumblr!
